Hi, i am currently 35 weeks pregnant and am doing some home renovations which includes hammering, gyprocking etc, nothing too strenous, however, i am just wondering is there any hazardous effects that u are aware of to the bub. THanks
Be cautious in an older home especially. Asbestos or lead could be lurking. Otherwise I wouldn’t worry too much about a little physical work as long as you feel up to it, and you are careful. Just watch out for paint fumes and poisons.
Take care!

I am trying to build an interrogation room a few stories underground… For the peace and quiet, you know.
Any suggestions for add-ons and primitive devices of, um, information gathering? I really am not into high-tech gadgets of sophistication, like lie-detectors… I am able to detect the truth through the octave of pitch. Anyway, suggestions are welcome.
Ah I like ze idea with ze interrogation chamber will zere be cuffs and cotton for muffling?

People please give us a break. Your home improvements are about as boring as hearing some middle aged guy talk about his retirement savings investments. What’s with this whole "cocooning" thing anyhow? I thought only geeks bragged about staying at home……..
Completely. I was in the middle of explaining to a friend about how I was thinking of taking out my fire place to free up more room in my living room area so I could swing my DLP tv across the couch, as opposed to in front of the window. My realtor, who suggested I put up glass blocking on my wall to cut noise but still let light through, provided me with the name of a different contractor since I wasn’t happy with the one that redid my kitchen (added an island and took out a wall, long story). I was just about to explain that I had upped my international fund in my 401k and making big bucks that could perhaps afford me a new addition, when this guy starts talking about how his house burned down and he has had to live downtown for the past 3 months while his place was gutted. Does it get any more selfish than that? What a geek.
